The Behavioral Health and Substance Abuse Services (BHSAS) provides a wide range of outpatient mental health and substance abuse treatment at our five satellite clinics located in Okmulgee, Okemah, Sapulpa, Koweta and Eufaula, Oklahoma. We provide individual, group, marital, and family counseling.  Psychological testing and substance abuse assessments are also offered at our clinics.  BHSAS is one of a few tribal programs that is state certified as an outpatient substance abuse treatment program. All therapists have at least a master’s degree and most are licensed to practice in the state of Oklahoma.  BHSAS employs two licensed psychologists and a board-certified psychiatrist.

The mission of the Behavioral Health and Substance Abuse Services (BHSAS)  “is to promote healthy lifestyles and provide a quality of care that enhances the lives of American Indian individuals and families living in our communities.   BHSAS embraces a holistic treatment approach that includes  body, mind, and spirit which facilitates self-empowerment, prevention, education, and intervention.”  Respect for culture and involvement in our Indian communities is essential to the success of our program.
