About our program:

The Muscogee (Creek) Nation Tobacco Prevention Program was developed October 2000 through a cooperative agreement with the Center of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

 

Mission:

Our vision is to eliminate the commercial tobacco abuse for all Oklahoma Native Americans/Alaskan Natives & educate the younger generation on traditional tobacco use.

 

Services we offer:

  • Assist communities to establish tobacco policies

  • Educational workshops on traditional tobacco

  • Training to health care providers on documentation procedures

  • Second Wind cessation classes for those who want to stop smoking

  • Develop tobacco prevention education programs for all tribes in Oklahoma

  • Native American youth advisory committee designed to educate youth about traditional tobacco use and commercial tobacco abuse.
